Mixed Media & Collage

In this 4-hour workshop we will cover the basics of selecting the book, preparing the book and pages for altering and decoration. Next is to create ephemera (pockets, inserts, journal cards, etc) to add to the book. By the end of the workshop you will leave with a unique altered book, the start of an amazing art journal/scrapbook in which to continue to record your story through special events, art techniques, personal messages, just about anything.

Explore the wonderful world of mixed media and collage. In this 4-hour workshop we will explore a number of mixed media techniques including collage with ephemera, using stamps, stencils, and creating texture through layers. These and other techniques will be demonstrated and there will be an opportunity for hands on exploration.
